Good Morning, 4th Graders. I hope you had a great long weekend. It was so nice out I hope you got outside and enjoyed the weather.

READING:

Today for reading, you will need to complete the Tuesday "Let's Learn It" (you can cross out Monday since we did not have school yesterday.). Then you will need to read or listen to chapters 4-6 of Lawn Boy. Remember, if you want to listen to the story you need to go to the lawn boy tab above. Once you have done the reading or before you read, you will need to complete the "Dictionary Detective" worksheet. Remember to do the dictionary detective sheet you will need to find a dictionary or use the internet to look up those words.

WRITING:

Tuesday means writing day! Today for writing you will need to watch the video below and follow along with the story "Bystander" when I read it in the video. Then you will need to complete the "Story Plot" anchor chart.

SCIENCE:

Today for science you will need to read "Meet Mr. Celsius" and "Meet Mr. Fahrenheit". Then find the worksheet with thermometers on it and color in the thermometers to show the correct temperatures that are listed below. You can color with a crayon, colored pencil, or pencil. Lastly, you can try the "Weathering the Weather" Worksheet. The "weathering the weather" worksheet does NOT need to come back to me.


What needs to come back:

  • Color the thermometers worksheet.



Don't forget you will still need to do your math. Then you are done for the day...yay! Good work! If you would like to, go and listen to our read-aloud book to finish off the day. Also, don't forget to do your music and gym sheets as well for the week.

MATH:

A reminder that Mrs. Baumann is taking over math. If you need help or have any questions you will need to ask her.





READING:

Today for reading you need to find the "Let's Learn It" page from yesterday and do Thursday on that sheet; you can cross off Friday as we do not have school tomorrow. Then you need to find that Lawn Boy packet again as well as your Lawn Boy book. You need to complete the "Chapter Summary" page.

WRITING:

Today for writing you will need to watch the writing video. You can follow along to the story "Bike Park Disaster" as you watch, the story is in your packet. Then you will need to complete the "Developing Setting" anchor chart in your packet.

SOCIAL STUDIES:

Today and tomorrow are social studies days, which means in Mrs.Baumanns packet you will find what she has assigned. Please contact Mrs. Baumann if you have any questions or concerns about social studies or math for this week.


Once you have completed all your tasks for the day, take a nice break and listen to a chapter from our read aloud if you wish, remember you can find this above on the "read aloud" tab. Also, don't forget to do your P.E. and/or Music assignments for the week (reminder don't send this back until the next week).


Enjoy the long weekend/mini-break. Don't forget to get outside and run around. Reminder, we do not have school on Monday either, however, that will still be a packet-pick-up day.
